Justyna Goździewicz-Biechońska, Ph.D. at law and architect specializes in environmental law, nature conservation law, as well as the legal aspect of spatial planning and the investment and construction process.  

 

Her experience includes comprehensive consulting services and representation of clients before administrative authorities in cases regarding environmental aspects of investment and construction processes such as the issuing of decisions on environmental conditions, administrative decisions regarding environmental conditions for the conducting of business – permissions to use the environment, environmental reviews, or punitive administrative decisions. She supports the clients at all stages of proceedings regarding environmental law and the investment and construction process.   

 

Within nature conservation law, she advises clients in terms of investments and conducting of business on protected areas, obtaining permission to remove trees and shrubs, and in cases regarding punishments for their removal without the required permission. 

 

She deals with the legal aspects of spatial planning and the investment and construction process. She offers advice within the interpretation of planning documents such as local spatial development plans or studies of conditions and directions of spatial planning. She also advises on matters regarding compensation for damage caused by a limitation or loss of the possibility to use real estate as a result of adoption or a change of the local spatial development plan as well as obtaining decisions on the land development conditions. She represents clients during procedures to adopt planning documents, drafting of motions and comments as well as issuing and suing administrative decisions. 

 

Justyna Goździewicz-Biechońska graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Faculty of Architecture at the Poznań University of Technology. She holds the degree of the doctor of juridical science within spatial planning and construction law. She is also the associate professor at the Department of Agricultural and Food Law, and Environmental Protection and a lecturer of environmental law at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. 

 

In 2011 she won the first prize in the 9th edition of “Samorząt Terytorialny” monthly’s contest for the best doctoral dissertation on local governments and the issue of decentralization. She is a member of Polish and international academic and expert organizations, including the International Academic Association on Planning, Law, and Property Rights (PLPR), the Platform of Experts in Planning Law (PEPL), the European Environmental Law Forum (EELF), and the Polish Association of Lawyers specialized in Agricultural Law. 

 

She is the author of numerous academic publications on environmental law, spatial planning, and construction law, including the monograph “Wadliwość decyzji administracyjnych w procesie inwestycyjno-budowlanym” which was published by Wolters Kluwer in 2011.

  • Entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy, private persons – consultingon a few dozen planningprocesses regarding local spatial development plans, including drafting of legal opinions and analyses of planning documents within the legal and planning status of real estate and legal conditions for the implementation of potential investments. 
  • Entrepreneurs from various sectors of the economy, private persons – support and representation during proceedings to secure legal protection of natural values ofreal estateand consulting on legal possibilities to prevent implementation of a disruptive investment in the neighborhood.
